Twitch Affiliate Requirements, Explained Simply

50 followers, 500 minutes, 7 days, 3 average viewers. Here's what each one really means and how to hit them.

Affiliate needs four things in the same 30-day window: 50 followers, 500 minutes streamed, 7 unique broadcast days, and 3 average concurrent viewers. Three are just consistency. The average-viewers one is the real gate.

The three easy ones

500 minutes across 7 days is roughly 90 minutes on seven separate days โ€” very doable in a month. Track progress in your Creator Dashboard's achievements panel.

Why 3 average viewers is the hard one

It's an average across all your airtime, so long streams with nobody watching drag it down. Shorter, better-attended streams score higher than marathon empty ones.

What actually moves it

Stream when your friends and community are awake, post a clip or a going-live note where your people already are, and network genuinely in similar small streams. Three concurrent is a handful of humans, not a crowd.

Look like a channel worth staying on

People who click and see a blank Starting Soon screen leave before you notice them. A cohesive overlay won't manufacture viewers, but it stops you losing the ones who arrive.

Don't lose the viewers you get

A cohesive look makes new arrivals stay long enough to count.
