Kawaii Stream Setup: Cute Without Looking Cheap

Kawaii fails when it becomes a pile of unrelated cute things. The fix is a limited palette and one consistent line style — cohesion is what separates 'designed' from 'clip art'.
Three pastels, one darker anchor
Pastels alone have no contrast, so text disappears and elements blur together. Add one deeper tone — plum, navy, warm brown — to give everything definition.
One line weight
Mixing thick-outlined stickers with thin-lined illustrations is the giveaway. Pick one style and keep it across overlay, emotes and badges.
Readability still matters
Pastel text on a pastel background is unreadable over gameplay. Check your emotes at 28px in the free previewer — cute designs fail small-size tests constantly.
Motion: bouncy but slow
Floating hearts, blinking mascots, drifting stars. Kawaii motion can bounce, but keep it gentle or it gets tiring over a three-hour stream.
