How to Make a Twitch Offline Banner (Sizes and Ideas)

Your offline banner is on screen more than your stream is. Here's the size, what to put on it, and how to upload it.

Twitch's offline banner (officially the Video Player Banner) is 1920ร—1080, max 10MB, JPG/PNG/GIF. It fills the player whenever you're not live โ€” which, for most channels, is the majority of the week.

Where to upload it

Creator Dashboard โ†’ Settings โ†’ Channel โ†’ Brand, then Video Player Banner. It can take a few minutes to appear; hard-refresh if you don't see it.

What to put on it

Your name, your schedule, and where else to find you. That's it. Someone landing on an offline channel wants to know who you are and when to come back.

Keep text away from the edges

The player crops on smaller screens and overlays its own controls at the bottom. Keep anything important in the middle band.

Match it to everything else

The offline banner, panels and Starting Soon screen are usually seen back-to-back. When they share a style the channel feels real โ€” every pack in the shop includes a matching offline screen.

Offline screens included

Every cozy pack ships Starting Soon, BRB, Ending and Offline in one matching set.
